Background.
In 2021, Compass Group approached CC Projects with the mission to enhance their efforts in reducing food waste. Our collaboration began with strategic planning and design, aiming to elevate Compass Group’s stance on this critical issue. Given that one-third of all food produced globally is wasted—impacting finances, the environment, and addressing social challenges—we set out to create solutions with a meaningful impact.
Our first major initiative resulted in the 2023 campaign, “Svinnhacks från Compass Group – Fem kockar, elva Svinnhacks.” Leveraging the rich expertise within Compass Group’s network of chefs and staff, we developed engaging and practical content. We crafted the campaign’s name, graphic profile, and branding, producing a series of quick, engaging Instagram reeal videos featuring tips and hacks for reducing food waste. To support the campaign, we created targeted social media advertisements and a dedicated microsite where all 11 video clips and additional resources were available. This comprehensive approach helped to maximize the campaign’s visibility and effectiveness.
Using Ai.
Building on the success of the initial campaign, we launched a second initiative in 2024: “Upptäck Dina Osynliga Måltider.” This campaign introduced an innovative app designed to simplify food waste management. The app allows users to take photos of their ingredients and receive instant recipe suggestions and waste-reducing tips, powered by Gemenni’s advanced AI technology and Compass Group’s culinary expertise.
Our work for this campaign included not only naming, branding, and graphic design but also crafting compelling copy, producing video content, and developing the web platform. We supported the launch with dynamic social media advertisements, as well as promotional materials like posters and stickers, all aimed at increasing awareness and driving user engagement.
Through these initiatives, CC Projects effectively supported Compass Group in communicating their commitment to reducing food waste and creating impactful solutions that resonate with internal stakeholders and the broader public.
